Storm Lake
Brand Identity & Illustration
Developed a visual identity for a local investing company’s family business.
I led the development of a new visual identity for Storm Lake, a separate entity created by a local investing company to honor their family's heritage and represent both current and future generations. Drawing inspiration from the family's origin story rooted in the Snohomish area, the challenge was to craft a logo that encapsulated their legacy while reflecting the landscape of Storm Lake.
As the sole designer on the project, I embarked on a journey to create a meaningful visual representation. The name "Storm Lake" not only pays homage to the family's roots but also serves as a metaphor for the journey of generations. In the logo, waves symbolize the passage of time and the different generations within the family, capturing the essence of continuity and evolution.
By seamlessly blending elements of the family's origin story with the natural beauty of Storm Lake, I crafted a logo that not only honors tradition but also embraces the future. This project not only involved designing a visual identity but also telling a story—a story of heritage, growth, and legacy.
